Lajos Rezmüves was born in Hungary in 1990. He had his first trumpet lessons at the age of 10. From the very beginning, Lajos was closely involved with the wind orchestra in his home town, where he gained his first experience.
After completing his A-levels, he studied for his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Stuttgart under Prof. Wolfgang Bauer. During this time, Lajos was an apprentice in the SWR Stuttgart Symphony Orchestra and an intern in the SWR Freiburg Symphony Orchestra.
During his studies, he performed regularly at the Stuttgart State Opera and with the "Bach-Collegium Stuttgart" under the baton of Helmuth Rilling and Hans-Christoph Rademann. From 2015 to 2018, Lajos studied in the soloist class at the Freiburg University of Music under Prof. Wim Van Hasselt.
Lajos has been principal trumpeter with the Mainz State Philharmonic Orchestra since 2016. He performs as a guest artist at venues including the Hessian State Theatre in Wiesbaden and the Frankfurt Opera. Lajos has attended masterclasses with Gábor Boldóczki, Gábor Tarkövi, Jouko Harjanne and Frits Damrow, amongst others. He also works very closely with Prof. Tobias Füller.
